Just minutes from Fort Wayne off I-69 and a short drive from the General Motors plant, Markle is an inviting small town alongside the beautiful Wabash River. Don’t let our small size fool you because we have some awesome reasons why you should make a trip to come see us.
Antique lovers, make sure you put Markle on your list of stops. With over 21,000 square feet of merchandise, Exit 286 Markle Antique Mall is one of the largest antique malls in NE Indiana. While in town, pop into Mazie’s Flowers, a charming shop filled with flowers, home decor, jewelry and gift items and pick up some “scotcharoos” from Nadean’s Cakes/Cookies/Catering a few doors down.
Who doesn’t love venturing to a small town to experience the food? Spend an evening at The Pickle…not only is it the coolest place to hang out in the evening, but their food is fantastic. Grab a pizza or one of their huge potatoes. Vinatelli’s Italian Cafe has won our hearts with their pizza and entrees but don’t miss out on the garlic knots! Amazing! The Daily Diner, located right at the I-69 Exit has all the classic diner favorites and a growing burger menu. Don’t miss out on the bacon milkshake!
Forget the typical community swimming pool! Markle Pool near I-69 is a slam dunk when it comes to fun beaches and attracts visitors from all over the region…we dare you to try the super big slide.
