16th Annual Piecemaker’s Quilt Show April 22 & 23
The Piecemakers Quilt Club and The Historic Forks of the Wabash and are sponsoring the 16th Annual Quilt Show at the Historic Forks on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 23, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Here is your opportunity to not only see a variety of quilted items including quilts, purses, placemats, wall hangings, table runners, quilted clothing, and more, but to also enter your own quilted items to be put on display in the show. There is a $2 entry fee to enter your quilted items this year. Total cost is capped at $10.00. No limit to the number of entries.
To help with the set up and display, entry information for each quilted item is due by April 14th to Mary Tobin at 260-224-3755 or jmtboss @sbcglobal.net
You can bring entry items and forms to the Historic Forks of the Wabash, Friday April 21st between the hours of 4-7 p.m. If you cannot make this date and time, please contact Mary Tobin through the contact info above to make other arrangements.
This annual event will also feature:
- Hand-quilting opportunities
- A Quilters Garage Sale*
- Arts & Craft table with various items for sale sponsored by the Piecemakers Quilt Club.
- “Bed Turnings”, where quilters share the stories about their quilts and the experience of making them. Bed Turnings times are Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m., and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Admission to the show is $2.00 for Adults, and $1.00 for Children ages 4 to 12.
Take the Spring Thing Quilt Challenge! This challenge is open to anyone who wants to enter. There are both adult and youth categories. Items should be at least 24″ x 24″ up to a King-size bed quilt. First and second place prizes in both adult and youth categories will be awarded. Contact Mary Tobin for the official rules.
*Bring your garage sale donations, such as fabric, sewing books and accessories, etc. to the Historic Forks from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21.
