Enter your artwork in JeFFFest!
May 30, 2017
This year’s Heritage Days celebration will wrap up with JeFFFest – which is a Festival of Fine Art, Fabulous Music and Fun Food — that will take place Sunday evening, June 18th from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. outside in the middle block of downtown Jefferson St. There will be live music, a silent art auction of art contributed by local artists of all ages, and food from local restaurants for purchase. The event is free to attend and there’s tables and seating and room to dance, but you are also encouraged to bring your own chair. So come downtown and sample our local fare, great music and art!
Want to be in the art show? The art show is open to all ages and levels of ability. Pick up your official 5×7 canvas for $5 (artists can purchase more than one!) at Four Corners Custom Framing, 419 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, during the shop’s regular business hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and return your completed canvas there by the June 9, 5 p.m. deadline, where it will be professionally framed and displayed for the silent auction at the frame shop. All art media is accepted but must be confined to the 5×7 canvas and must be dry and ready to frame when turned in, but please, NO GLITTER! All artwork becomes the property of the LaFontaine Arts Council and will be part of this silent art auction fund raiser with the proceeds going toward the LAC “Arts in Education” programming.
