 \, November 2nd at 7:00 pm. Three times a year our “mini-m
 useum” is open to the public. Step back in time - listen t
 o the pump organ\, look at the artifacts\, and experience wh
 at it was like to be a German settler through our storytelle
 rs. The German Schoolhouse is part of the County Line Church
 's long history in the area. (Est. 1851). We’d love for yo
 u to come and learn more! You're invited to a “Celebration
  of Fall” at the Old German School on Sunday\, November 2n
 d at 7 p.m.Traditional hymns will be sung and music will be 
 provided by Oldies but Goodies\, formerly the Sharp Creek Si
 ngers. Poetry written by James Whitcomb Riley will be read. 
 The Legend of Hanging Rock will be shared.About the Old Germ
 an School - The school was constructed in 1887 by members of
  the St. Paul’s German Evangelical Church to provide relig
 ious instruction in the German language. It has been restore
 d and now contains exhibits that interpret the history of th
 e large German settlement that once existed in the area.The 
 school is located at 3995N-1000W or 3 miles north of US 24 o
