DESCRIPTION:On April 8th\, a total solar eclipse will cross North America. Huntington\, Indiana will see a 90% totality! This event is RARE! The next one will not take place in North America until 2044!  The Huntington Parks &amp\; Rec Dept. wants to help you celebrate this year's eclipse by having a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk the day before the Eclipse.  This event will take place at Evergreen Park on Sunday\, April 7th at 3:00 p.m. *THIS IS NOT A VIEWING EVENT - It is an event to get people excited for the actual event on the following day. With your registration\, you will also get an awesome t-shirt to remember this significant part of history in Huntington! Deadline to sign up to guarantee a shirt is March 22\, 2024.** Shirts will only come in adult sixes - Adult extra small to adult 2XL. Other goodies will be available as well! *Click here to register. Registration fee is $10 and includes a shirt!** Kona Ice will also be there! Depending on the weather\, they will have their Kona Ice truck or Hot Chocolate Truck!! The Huntington Parks &amp\; Rec Dept. is excited to be offering this fun event.
