It's the perfect place to gather before one of Huntington's favorite traditions—the annual fireworks spectacular.
A Fireworks Show That Lights Up the Night
At 9:30 p.m., the National Anthem will be played, followed by the fireworks display beginning promptly at 10:03 p.m.
This year's show promises to be even more impressive. The fireworks will once again launch from Huntington University's cross-country field, with a slightly higher launch position providing an additional 20 to 30 feet of elevation for even better visibility throughout the city.
The display will be synchronized to patriotic music broadcast through speakers near the Huntington YMCA and Crestview Middle School viewing areas, creating an unforgettable experience for spectators.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated volunteers from American Legion Post 85, whose hard work and commitment continue to make this cherished community tradition possible year after year.
Where to Watch
The best viewing locations include:
- The Huntington YMCA lawns
- Crestview Middle School
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, arrive early, and enjoy an evening under the stars.
Other popular viewing spots include Huntington University and the former Kmart parking lot. While those locations may not offer a full view of the lower-level fireworks effects, they still provide an excellent vantage point for the spectacular display.
