Downtown Entertainment: Music, Brats, Beer, and Community Fun
Throughout Heritage Days, downtown Huntington was alive with activity.
Local favorites Wise Guys and Legends Sports Bar helped create welcoming gathering spaces where friends, families, and visitors could relax, enjoy great food, and celebrate together. Beer and brat tents provided classic festival fare while live music kept the atmosphere energetic well into the evening.
Cornhole tournaments brought out friendly competition, laughter, and plenty of community spirit. Whether you were playing, cheering on a team, or simply enjoying the entertainment, downtown Huntington was buzzing with excitement.
The combination of music, food, and community fellowship created the kind of atmosphere that reminds us why small-town celebrations are so meaningful.
Fair Fun for the Whole Family
No Heritage Days celebration would be complete without the fair.
Families filled the midway as children raced from ride to ride, eager to experience all the excitement that comes with carnival week. The bright lights, spinning attractions, games, and sounds of laughter created the perfect backdrop for summer memories.
Of course, the food was just as important as the rides. Visitors enjoyed everything from classic fair favorites to unique offerings from food vendors and trucks. Whether it was funnel cakes, lemonade, barbecue, or a favorite festival treat, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
For many families, the fair remains one of the most cherished traditions of Heritage Days—and this year was no exception.
Classic Cars and Community Connections
Car enthusiasts and casual visitors alike gathered near Huntington North High School to admire an impressive collection of classic, custom, and vintage vehicles.
The annual car show continues to be a favorite Heritage Days tradition, drawing participants and spectators from across the region. Rows of beautifully restored automobiles gave visitors a chance to appreciate automotive history while connecting with fellow enthusiasts.
Combined with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, the event offered something for all ages and proved once again why it remains a cornerstone of Heritage Days week.
Taking Flight: A New Heritage Days Experience
One of the newest additions to Heritage Days 2026 was the aviation event at Huntington Municipal Airport.
Visitors had the opportunity to get an up-close look at aircraft, including vintage airplanes that captured the imagination of both young and old. The event provided a unique experience that combined history, education, and family-friendly fun.
