A-maize-ing 5K Race and fresh sweet corn at Salamonie Lake, Aug. 23 - 24
Salamonie Lake will host the A-maize-ing 5K Race on Aug. 24. Fresh sweet corn will be available for purchase the evening of Aug. 23 at Salamonie’s Lost Bridge West SRA entrance gate and modern campground. Participants may register either online or day of registration available. Online registration ends Aug. 23, 11:59 p.m.

Event schedule:
Friday, Aug. 23: Evening sweet corn sales at Lost Bridge West SRA entrance gate.
Saturday, Aug. 24: A-maize-ing 5K Race Cost - $20 per race participant. Cash or check made out to Friends of UWIS accepted. 7:30 – 8 a.m. – Day of registration at Wildlife Management Pond shelter.
8:30 a.m. – Start of race. Wildlife Management Pond shelter.
9 – 11 a.m. – Pancake breakfast. Wildlife Management Pond shelter. Free to registered runners, freewill donation from public. The public is invited to attend the pancake breakfast.
10 a.m. – Announce race awards. First, second, and third place male and female prizes.
Additional Details:
This race is friendly and open to runners and walkers of all ages. Children aged 10 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
Well socialized dogs on 6-foot or shorter leashes welcome.
Strollers are not advised due to uneven trails, hills, and steps.
