Spookfest at American Legion Unit 85 runs through the evening on Saturday, October 24. For kids, trunk or treat is free and the bounce house is $1 with a parent's signature. For adults, the chili cook-off runs from 4 to 6 p.m. ($15 per entry, $5 per bowl including one vote ticket). From 7 to 10 p.m., Rock of Elders plays for a masquerade-or-not costume party ($5 entry for a chance to win cash prizes) with awards for scariest, funniest, most original, best couple and Post's choice. There is a $2 donation at the door, with proceeds from the night benefiting the Kids' Christmas Party.
