Event Description:
Join us for a joyful afternoon of music, movement, and hands-on discovery at the Children’s Concert with the Lincoln Chamber Ensemble, made possible by a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne!
The fun begins at 3 PM with an Instrument Petting Zoo, where children of all ages are invited to touch, hold, and try out a variety of orchestral instruments. At 4 PM, the concert begins—featuring beloved works from Bach, Handel, Haydn, and more, performed by a fully professional orchestra.
🎻 Program Highlights Include:
• Bach: Air
• Wassenaer: Concerto in F minor
• Pachelbel: Canon (by audience request)
• Handel: Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 9
• Haydn: Symphony No. 11
Children will be invited to move with the music during select pieces, guided by a friendly host—Tim the Janitor—who will help kids (and adults!) discover the joy of live chamber music.
