Save the dates for the Eagle Watches at Salamonie Lake. Salamonie Lake will offer two separate Eagle Watches Feb. 10 and 17, from 3:30 p.m. – dusk. Each will meet at the Upper Wabash Interpretive Center, located in Salamonie Lake’s Lost Bridge West SRA.
*Advance registration is required, so call Salamonie Lake Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at 260-468-2127 to register and choose a date.
Participants will tour some of the areas where the birds are often viewed, followed by an eagle program with a campfire at one of our shelters.
Hotdogs and treats will be available for a freewill donation, sponsored by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services.
Upon arrival, participants may visit the interpretive center’s restrooms and return to vehicles to prepare for the caravan.
- Participants should dress for the weather; if available, bring binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes. Shared visual aids will be available onsite.
- Be sure to have plenty of fuel in your gas tank. We will caravan.
- There will be some walking on flat surfaces. Those who need accessible parking should request it upon registration.
