National Nature Photography Day at Salamonie Lake, June 15*
Get your camera ready for National Nature Photography Day at Salamonie Lake’s Interpretive Center, located in Lost Bridge West SRA, June 15, from 5 - 9 p.m. Share and promote nature with your photography. Spend the evening at Salamonie Lake with a basic wildlife photography workshop, guided wildlife photography hike, and a self-guided nature photography scavenger hunt. Learn basic photography skills along with tips and tricks to take your photography to the next level. Schedule of events: - 5 - 5:30 p.m. - Basic wildlife photography workshop. Meet at Interpretive Center (IC). - 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Guided wildlife photography hike on the ADA Turkey Cove Trail (1/4 mile). Put your new skills to work. Meet at IC.
- 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. - Nature Photography Scavenger Hunt. Participants choose trail of choice. Meet at IC to pick up the scavenger hunt list of specific plants, animals, and other nature-related items. - 8:30 - 9 p.m. hotdogs and S’mores will be served at IC picnic shelter area. Freewill donations accepted to help support future programming. The program is free of charge. Property entrance fees apply: $7 per in-state vehicle; $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
