Start the New Year off right with fresh air and renewed senses. Join Upper Wabash Interpretive Services’ staff for a First Day Hike, Jan. 1 at 4:30 p.m. at Salamonie Lake. Meet at the interpretive center for an approximate one-mile stroll through the woods along the moderate Tree Trail. The Tree Trail does include some hills and steps. After the hike, participants are invited to gather around a campfire to enjoy S’mores. Dress for the weather. Families, and friendly dogs on leashes, are welcome.
