Roanoke
Visit the Town of Roanoke and you’ll quickly be delighted with its charm and sheer quality of both shops and restaurants alike – each with its own character and charm. Plan to spend the day or better yet, the weekend. Less than a ten minute drive from southwest Fort Wayne and a quick 90 minutes from Indianapolis, you will see why it’s quickly become a Northeast Indiana destination.
Eat
Roanoke was put on the map for it’s famous gourmet farm-to-fork restaurant, Joseph Decuis. The restaurant’s signature item is their farm-raised Wagyu beef which many have proclaimed as the best steak of their life. But this small town is loaded up with a line up of dining options that feed all of the hungry visitors and locals. The locals prefer their favorite gathering spots like the Roanoke Village Inn for dinner and Nick’s Junction for breakfast. Pick up a pizza from the Patio Pizza and BBQ, grab a coffee and sandwich at Moose and Mollies or wait in the line at Taste of Philly for one of their authentic Philly Cheesteak sandwiches. Meet the ladies for tea and wonderful lunches at the Parker Grace Tea Room and don't leave without checking out their upstairs gift shop. Treat yourself after shopping to a scoop or two of your favorite ice cream flavors at Jebi's Ice Cream. There’s so many new places to try so we encourage you to visit the Food and Drink section of this site to help plan your meals.
