Come Celebrate With Us at Huntington Heritage Days 2024!

It's the official kickoff to summer festival season here in Huntington County and we are so excited to present you with this year's highlights! Poor Jack Amusements
Come downtown to our midway carnival! Poor Jack Amusements Company will be located on Cherry and the adjacent streets from Wednesday, June 12 through Sunday, June 16. Tickets are $1.50 each or 20 for $25. Wristbands for unlimited riding are $25 on Friday and Saturday; and $17 for Sunday.
Carnival Hours:
- Wednesday -Thursday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday 4 to 11 p.m.
- Saturday Noon to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, 12 Noon to 5 p.m.
Metronet Car, Truck, Bike and Motorcycle Show
Join us on Friday, June 14 from 5-9 p.m. on Jefferson Street in Downtown Huntington! The show is open to all cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles with registration taking place at the intersection of Jefferson and Washington Streets from 3 to 6:30 p.m. The vehicle entry fee is $10. Grab some dinner while you're in town and hit the downtown shops.
Dash plaques and goody bags will be given to the first 75 vehicles registered. Awards will be given to the top 20, 1981 and older; top 20, 1982 and newer; also best paint, engine, car, motorcycle, truck and best of show.
Beer and Brat Tent
Enjoy the Beer and Brat Tent on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 from 4-10 p.m., located in the parking lot behind Wise Guys Downtown, 435 Cherry St., Huntington. DJ starts at 4 p.m. Free live music concert on the Wise Guys patio on Friday, June 14 from 8-10 p.m. with Gunslinger. They will have flavored brats, original brats, hot dogs, Bavarian pretzels, wood fired pizza, pasta, German potato salad, strawberry shortcake, beer, wine, wine slushies and a full bar. Saturday, DJ all night long with karaoke.
Heritage Days Parade
Grab your chairs and head downtown early to claim your spot for the Huntington Heritage Days Parade on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. Where to set up your chairs? The parade route begins at MacGahan and North Jefferson Street, travels south on Jefferson, straight through the downtown area and ends just before crossing the railroad tracks.
Huntington County Disaster Team Car & Truck Show
Another crowd favorite is the annual Huntington County Disaster Team Car & Truck Show held on Saturday, June 15 from 3-7 p.m. at Huntington North High School (450 MacGahan St, Huntington). Registration is from 2-5 p.m.; fee is $15. Dash plaques for the first 100 vehicles registered. Awards presented at 7 p.m. Music provided by DJ Rick Smart of Smart Productions.
Family Fun Activities and Hot Air Balloon Fest
The grounds of Huntington North High School (450 MacGahan St, Huntington) are THE PLACE TO BE on Saturday, June 15. Prepare for a fun-filled afternoon and evening of family-friendly activities! In addition to the Huntington County Disaster Team Car & Truck Show, you can explore the Kids Zone, food booths, craft vendors and Hot Air Balloon Festival.
The RC Airplane & Helicopters Modelers Show will be across the street at Kriegbaum Field from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come see demonstrations of remote control cars, planes and helicopters. Bring along your chairs so you can watch!
The Kids Zone will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. and includes many free fun activities including bounce houses, crafts, games, pony rides, Archery Tag and more.
Don't miss the crowd favorite, the Hot Air Balloon Fest, from 5-10 p.m. Stay til the end for the spectacular Balloon Glow at dusk where you'll witness the beautiful glows of the balloons as they are illuminated by their burners! It's the best way to end the day at the festival.
JeFFFest - Fun Food, Fine Art and Fab Music
Head to Franklin Street by the Huntington County Courthouse on Sunday, June 16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for the Annual JeFFFest event!
Bid in the silent auction inside the Huntington Arts and Entrepreneurial Center featuring mini canvases decorated by local artists of all ages. Relax outside and enjoy the live band performing on the courthouse steps, and head over to the food vendors and enjoy some delicious local fare. Tables and chairs will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your lawn chairs!
No cost for admission. Food available for purchase.
