Although reminiscent of many of our high school dates, why not kick it old school and head out for an evening of cosmic bowling here at Rainbow Lanes in Huntington. While you won't impress your date much with the shoes, the lively atmosphere and friendly competition makes for a fun evening out. And it's great for couples double dates.

High Adventure Tour

We LOVE everything about the zipline "High Adventure Tour" at Zip Timber Lake in Huntington. It's fun, challenging and a great way to spend an active afternoon connecting with your special someone. You'll need to schedule this activity in advance, but sometimes you can find openings mid-week if you need to squeeze into their schedule. You and your date can cheer each along as you take on their:

  • 8 Zip Lines - Including wooded canopy, lake, dual, finishing with 1000' length lake zip
  • 4 Aerial Bridges
  • 2 Climbing Elements
  • 1 Sky Hook

Craft Brew Tasting

What better way of getting to know someone than over a flight of brews at one of our local tap houses: Junk Ditch Brewing Huntington Tap or Trubble Public House. Enjoy conversation while you discuss the beers in your flight and pick your favorites - and if it goes well maybe ones you'll enjoy on your next date.

Kayak Adventure

Looking for creative ideas for your next date? Kayaking is not only fun and active but also can be quite romantic. Rustic River Outfitters is located just 10 minutes from downtown Huntington and offers up the perfect date location with canoe and kayak rentals. (make sure you schedule your canoe or kayak adventure in advance) After your river adventure, you'll love hanging out at Rustic River to do some wine tasting or grab a glass or bottle of your favorites from their extensive wine menu and dinner. Night at the Drive-In

Pack up the car with blankets and pillows and head to the GQT Huntington Twin Drive-in for a night of nostalgic amusement. Huntington is home to one of only 20 existing drive-ins left in the state of Indiana so it truly is a unique experience. With a choice of two screens, you can let your date choose which movies to watch and don't forget to grab some popcorn and snacks before they start. (Open annually from April through October, weather permitting)

Hold hands while hiking down these spectacular riverside trails at the Forks of the Wabash Trail. The trailhead is located right off West Park Drive in Huntington making it easy to access. You and your date are guaranteed to fall in love with the historic landmarks, gorgeous river views and cool suspension bridge that make this one of the locals' favorite trails.

Live Theater

If you have not seen a production at the Pulse Opera House in Warren, you simply must plan a date night out for one of their performances. Prepare for you and your special someone to be delighted at the quality of the talent and the production. The real star of any performance is the historic opera house itself - built in 1884, you'll feel like you've been transported back in time. This is an experience not to be missed.
