Huntington County - Northeast Indiana's Gateway to the April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse
Make plans now to join us here in Huntington County for the April 8, 2024 eclipse. We are located in Northeast Indiana just southwest of Fort Wayne/Allen County right on the edge of the path of totality and conveniently located near major roadways including I-69, US 24 for an easy-in, easy-out viewing experience. The state is expecting major delays across central Indiana immediately following the eclipse so avoid the congestion and celebrate here with us.

Viewing Parties
Area residents and our eclipse visitors are invited to join us for these fun public viewing parties.
Join viewing parties in the downtowns of Markle and Warren. These are the first two exits on I-69 from the north on the path of totality. Want to stay close to nature? Camp at Salamonie Lake State Park or Roush Fish and Wildlife Property for the weekend. Come celebrate with us! Please note: Additional details and/or opportunities will be added as planning efforts continue.
Markle Total Eclipse of the Park
The Town of Markle will be hosting a Total Eclipse of the Park viewing party on April 8 from 1-4 p.m. at the Markle Fish and Game Park (100 Park Drive, Markle). The event will feature food, entertainment and location to experience the eclipse. More details to come.
Total Eclipse in Warren
The Town of Warren will host the Total Eclipse in Warren Viewing Party at Riverside Park on Monday, April 8. They will offer food, viewing areas, music and fun activities to pass the time. More details to come.
Salamonie Lake State Park
Salamonie Lake State Park will be open for camping and they will be conducting programming for the eclipse. Camping can be reserved on their website up to 6 months out from event. Gate fees will apply.
