Huntington

The downtown eateries all offer amazing culinary delights, from fantastic steaks at the Brick House to delightful weekly specials at Junk Ditch Huntington Tap and Wise Guys Downtown. People pilgrimage from all over the country to eat at Nick’s Kitchen, birthplace of the Indiana Pork Tenderloin sandwich and who was featured on the Travel Channel’s “Pork Paradises” and featured in Bon Appetite for their sugar cream pie. Munch on freshly made caramel corn or indulge in homemade turtles from the Party Shop Coffee and Confections. Get your fill of colorful candies from the Little Sweets Spot. From Z-Place, a pizza legend, Mexican food – Chavas, Los Amigos and Mecates or New Yamato Steak House with their fresh sushi and entrees, you will not go home hungry. Come shop the City of Huntington! There you'll find national stores like Walmart, Big Lots, Maurice's and Shoe Sensation plus plenty of locally-owned boutique and locally-owned retail shops. Head downtown to shop at boutiques like HomeCraft and Bend the Trend featuring clothing, accesssories, home decor and gifts. Shop for furniture and home items at Smith Furniture, Smith Budget and Used Furniture and Whimzy antique store. Locals and visitors love Antiqology for their ice cream treats and extensive craft soda collection and Bear and Beak for their freshly baked cookies, cupcakes and treats. You'll spend hours at Turn the Page Books and Music for their large selection of gently used books and albums, TCBGames for their amazing selection of games and accessories and Corn Coast Comics that boasts a huge selection of used comics. Take a short drive out of town to the Bee Hive shop right on State Road 9 as you head toward Salamonie Reservoir. They have over 200 hives and sell honey and honey-related products in their farm shop.
